Research Interests

My research interests pertain to the cultural and psychological aspects of tourism. I am interested in discovering how people, through the participation of tourism, enrich or rediscover their own identities as well as change their perceptions of the world. Meanwhile, I am seeking understandings of the inter-relationships between gender, socio-cultural background, ethnicity and the motivations for cultural-heritage tourism.  Maintaining the authenticity and the integrity of cultural and heritage tourism sites by applying anthropological methods is also encompassed in my research interests.
